Bootable CD

The Linux-ready Firmware Developer Kit CD image is a 79MB ISO9660 file that contains a Linux* kernel and an initrd image with the test application. This CD image is bootable, just insert it into your CDROM drive and boot the machine.
You can also use the kernel and initrd files for PXE network booting, and for booting from a USB stick. You can even add these to the bootloader of an existing Linux installation and start the kit from there:

Bootable CD image: firmwarekit-r3.iso (79Mb)

Source Code

To build your own version of the CD, you can download the source code of the kit below:

Source Code: firmwarekit-r3.tar.gz (199Kb)

This source edition downloads all the needed third party components, and builds the test application. When that is done, an ISO image is created ready for burning.

Third party sources

The test application on the CD image is aggregated with several other open source programs to form the bootable CD runtime. The GNU General Public License and other open source licenses require us to give you the source code of these programs, and we are more than happy to offer these to you:

3rd party sources: firmwarekit-source-r3.iso (254MB)

However in the interest of saving bandwidth and download time, we need to mention that these are NOT the bits you are looking for if you want to build your own copy of of the kit!
